These adorable Wine Cork Angels are easy-to-make and quick. I like to save wine corks as reminders of the memories made over a shared bottle of wine, and hanging them on a Christmas tree just seems fitting!
Materials
- Wine Corks
- Wired Ribbon
- 1 Inch Wooden Spheres
- Silver or Gold Pipe Cleaners
- Ribbon or Twine
- Black and Red Paint or Markers
- Hot Glue Gun
Start by painting two eyes and a mouth on each of the spheres. Cut the wired ribbon and tie into approximately 2 inch bows. Cut pipe cleaners into thirds and form into halo.
Glue spheres onto the corks and add bows as wings. Some of the angels I gave one big bow, and some two smaller bows. Add the halos and cut a length of ribbon to hang to use as the hanger. I found it helpful to glue the ribbon to hang the ornaments from starting at the back of the cork and the entire way up the head of the angel so that they don’t lean forward on the tree.
In just a short amount of time I was able to make about a dozen angels. They look great on the tree with the lights shining behind them, and also made wonderful toppers for presents!
