I really enjoy making handmade cards, so when I was searching for a Valentine’s Card and ran across this idea, I loved it! Unfortunately, none of the cards really had any instructions, so I winged it. Thankfully, it turned out great!
MATERIALS
- Double-sided paper
- Scrap paper
- Pencil
- Markers
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Double sided tape or glue
I started by purchasing double sided paper. It made it easier as I didn’t have to glue two pieces of paper together, and it also had the benefit of having a fun pattern on the inside of the card. I already had a light colored paper, a fun bright paper and some ribbon, so I only had to purchase one item to make this card.
The trickiest part was figuring out the shape. I opted to draw two circle and bring a line straight back.
I cut this shape out and traced it on the patterned paper (folded in half). Make sure the top goes against the fold when you trace and cut. I then cut the pattern to make the bra and panty outline. You can see I used a pencil to sketch out lines until I found the shape I liked.
I used my new pattern to cut out the bra and panty and started taping everything together. I glued the lace under the bra to make it look a little more realistic. The one part I didn’t love about this project is how the lace wasn’t very flexible and I had to cut and overlap, causing some sharp angles. I also used a punch to cut out a little heart for the tush, because, why not? I even added a little bit of cleavage shading with a nude colored pencil.
The last step was to cut out a square for the inside so I could write a message. If you don’t use a patterned paper this step won’t be necessary.

I liked that on the inside of the card the shape resembles a heart!
Overall, I was really pleased with this card and it was easier to create than I imagined. It was a perfect card to kick off the Valentine’s Day Advent Calendar.
