Necklace Holder

If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to get organized, this easy project is for you! Using a few supplies (and my new Cricut!) I was able to make this quick-and-easy necklace holder in less than an hour. I really love how it brings my once-hidden necklaces to eye sight, making it easier to get accessorized in the morning and to more evenly rotate between my necklaces.

Using a few simple supplies (and my new Cricut!) I was able to make this quick-and-easy necklace holder in less than an hour. It's been hanging in my closet for a few weeks, and it definitely has made accessorizing my outfits a little easier! AMODERNCINDERELLA.COM

MATERIALS

  • Wooden Sign – Purchased at a craft store, or homemade
  • Paint & Brushes
  • Gemstones
  • Super Glue
  • Paint & Stencil, or Decal
  • Nails or Command Strips

DIRECTIONS

First, paint your sign. I used chalkboard paint leftover from another project. It took two coats to get the coverage I wanted.

Once dry, super glue your gemstones onto the sign. My gemstones are 3/4″, which was the perfect size. I wish I would have purchased a few more! If you are not feeling the gemstones, you could also use hooks or drawer pulls.

To personalize the sign, add the design of your choice. I received a Cricut for Christmas, so I made a vinyl decal that said Sparkle to match my DIY Sparkle Ring Dish. If you don’t have access to vinyl decals, you could also hand paint something on the sign, or even paint designs like flowers or a geometric pattern.

I added two heavyweight (15 pound) Command strips to the back of the Necklace Holder and attached it to the inside of my closet door. That way, when the door is closed, the Necklace Holder is hidden, and when the door is open, all of my long necklaces are in plain view.

This holder has been hanging in my closet for a few weeks, and it definitely has made accessorizing my outfits a little easier! I can easily see all of my necklace choices, and have done a better job rotating between all of them instead of just grabbing the one I see first.
